It takes special people like you to do what you do. I give you guys a lot of credit. As a surgical nurse in a Level I trauma center I get occasional glimpses - like when the ER calls and says they're coming straight up to us. Those experiences never leave me... What more when you are the first responders?

Best to you and Ryan...

Cheers,

M.

Its been 10 plus years since I ran my last call and I still have some that will live with me in intimate detail forever.
As horrific as it is, it is the job we love.
Ryan will stay strong and "learn" to deal with the bad calls. Its what we do.

So very sad Michael, how brave you all must be, this is nothing training can teach you, but how dreadful when life throws such apalling things at you to deal with. How would we all manage in this world of ours without the strength of all you great guys.
Thanks from me - just incase anyone ever forgets to thank you.

sounds familiar, A brother baptized by the nasty. I agree Mike, you seem to get over it but you never forget it and some things haunt you more then others.
Best of Luck with Ryan and hope you feel better and get back to the streets.

It continues to amaze me, and I don't know why, that there are so many who will work so hard and even risk their own lives to save strangers.

Between your story and Ryan's... I am in tears.
Not sure I understand that, either.
