Things on the streets can get a little discouraging. There is a lot of negativity out there, and if you allow it to it will swallow you whole. Now and then, a little trip to the museum keeps things in focus.
We are not alone. We have history. We have pride. We have a future.
I'm glad I found the National EMS Museum. I can't believe it took me this long. The blinders I have firmly attached to my perception of EMS and all the difficulties we face need to come off now and then, so I can see the big picture.

Do you see what that logo is missing?
No?
There’s no fire engine. And for a very good reason too.
Medics,EMTs,and all the first response people are always forgotten…im a firefighter/emt however I feel like ems are the “red headed” stepchild and need moreto RESPECT out there! That’s why im having my harley done in a ems theme!
I have it on very good authority that an Ambulance Driver designed that logo.
Hey all of you EMTs out there. My family and I do respect you and appreciate you as well. You have helped both my husband and myself several times and just seeing you there made everything seem less "urgent." I pray for you every night. Just one thing. Is it alright if I like the guys on the engines too? After all, one of them was my daddy. ;-) Bless you all.
