The Only Reason

Make no mistake; we do what we do because we love it. We can carry on all day long about the hardship, the stress, the risk and the misery, but at the end of the day, when the ambulance is clean, the hosebed packed, the station ready for the next shift, the portable radio passed on and the job for the day done one thing is certain; we would do it again in an instant.

Considering the only reason we exist is to be there for the public we serve when all their other options have failed, and more often than not somebody is hurting there can be only one good reason we love it so.

Look next to you. Behind you. In front of you. There they are, in living, feeling, breathing, laughing, color.

The only reason.

There is no guarantee they will always be there, so enjoy every second you can.
