St John Ambulance is the nation’s leading first aid training provider. We deliver first aid, health & safety and mental health first aid training to hundreds of thousands of companies, local authorities, and members of the public every year.

What you learn in a first aid course?

You’ll learn how to examine a casualty, use a defibrillator, familiarize yourself with basic life support and learn how to control bleeding and trauma. These provide the skills to overcome a potentially threatening situation long enough for medically trained individuals to arrive on scene.

Why is it important to learn first aid?

Is St John Ambulance free?

If you’re attended by an ambulance officer and/or transported in an ambulance because of a medical emergency. You’ll need to pay this charge even if someone else calls the ambulance for you. If you are a St John Supporter Scheme subscriber there is no charge.
